Please read these terms carefully before using Herline
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Herline mobile application and website (herlineservices.com), operated by Herline Safety Limited ("Herline", "we", "our", or "us"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By downloading, accessing, or using Herline, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
⚠ Herline is not an emergency service. In any situation where you or someone else is in immediate danger, always call 999. Herline does not contact emergency services on your behalf and is not monitored by any authority or law enforcement.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Herline. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately suspend and remove their account without notice.
You must also be a resident of a country where Herline's services are available and legally permitted.
To use Herline, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:
Herline Safety Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account credentials secure.
Herline is a personal safety check-in tool. When you activate a check-in timer and do not confirm your safe arrival before it expires, an alert is sent to your nominated emergency contact advising them to check on you.

Herline Safety Limited is a technology company, not an emergency service provider. We want to be completely transparent about what Herline can and cannot do:

Where you have enabled location-based features as part of a premium subscription, your approximate location may be shared with your nominated emergency contact only. This is a feature you actively choose to enable and can disable at any time through your device settings. Herline does not store your location history and does not share your location with any third party other than your nominated emergency contact.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999 immediately. Do not rely solely on Herline in a life-threatening situation.
You are fully responsible for:
Herline Safety Limited accepts no liability for the actions or inactions of any nominated emergency contact. We are not responsible if your contact does not respond to an alert.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Herline Safety Limited shall not be liable for any:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Herline shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
You agree not to use Herline to:

Herline offers a free tier with core features available to all users at no cost. A premium subscription plan is also available at £2.99 per month, which unlocks additional features.
All content within the Herline app and website — including the name, logo, design, text, and features — is the intellectual property of Herline Safety Limited and is protected by UK and international copyright and trademark law.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Herline without our prior written consent.
Herline is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading Herline through these platforms, you also agree to their respective terms of service. Herline Safety Limited is not responsible for the policies or practices of Apple or Google.
Herline uses trusted third-party services to operate, including Firebase (Google), Twilio, and Google Cloud Platform. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of Herline is also subject to these providers' terms where applicable.
We aim to keep Herline available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We will not be liable for any disruption or unavailability of the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Herline after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
You may stop using Herline and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Herline at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, without notice and without liability to you.
These Terms and any disputes arising from them are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
