Herline checks in on you during every journey. If you don't respond, we alert your emergency contact — automatically.
Simple & Reliable
Three simple steps. That's all it takes to have a safety net on every journey.
Enter your destination, current location, and ETA. Choose how often you want check-ins — every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or hourly.
Herline sends you regular check-in messages during your journey. Just press "I Am OK" to confirm you're safe and continue.
If you don't respond, a 10-minute grace period starts. If there's still no response, your emergency contact is alerted immediately.
Everything You Need
Every feature in Herline was designed with one goal: making sure someone always knows you're okay.
Choose 15-minute, 30-minute, or hourly check-ins based on your journey and comfort level.
Set a specific time for your check-in — perfect when you can't look at your phone consistently.
A buffer before alerts are sent, accounting for signal loss or moments when you're temporarily unavailable.
If you don't respond, your chosen emergency contact receives an immediate SMS from Herline on your behalf.
Tell Herline your phone is about to die. We'll pause alerts and wait for you to reconnect before escalating.
Let the app know you're entering a low-signal area. Herline adapts so your contact isn't falsely alarmed.

Step by Step
From the moment you start a journey to the moment you arrive safely — here's exactly what happens.
Sign up with your name, email, and password. Add your location and — most importantly — your emergency contact's name and phone number. This is the person Herline will alert if you don't respond. You accept our Terms & Conditions which explain how and when alerts are sent.
Takes 2 minutesBefore you set off, open Herline and start a journey. Enter where you're going, your current location, and your expected arrival time. Then choose how often you want to be checked in on — every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or every hour.
15 sec to set upAt each scheduled interval, Herline automatically sends you a check-in notification — no action needed on your part to trigger it. When it arrives, you'll see a simple set of buttons to tap: I'm Okay, I Have Arrived, Phone About to Die / Lose Signal, Emergency SOS, or Call Emergency Contact. Just tap the one that applies. No typing, no calls — one tap and you're confirmed safe.
Automatic & one tap to confirmIf a check-in passes without a response, Herline doesn't immediately alert anyone. Instead, a 10-minute grace period begins. You'll receive a clear notification: "10 minute grace period has started." This covers signal drops, a briefly unavailable phone, or any short delay.
10 minutes of bufferIf the grace period ends with no response, your emergency contact automatically receives an SMS from Herline: "This is Herline. After the given grace period, there has been no response from [your name]. Please check in with them urgently." You also receive a notification with an emergency speed dial button.
Automatic & instantWhen you reach your destination, press the I Have Arrived button. Herline ends the journey with a confirmation message: "Great! You made it. Ending OTP now." No more check-ins. You're done.
One tap to endReal Messages
No typing needed — just tap a button. Here's exactly what a check-in looks like from start to finish.
Custom Option
No problem. Set a specific time for your check-in instead — like 22:10. Herline will send you one message at exactly that time asking if you're okay and if you've arrived.
Use the scroll-wheel time picker to choose exactly when you want to be checked in on — down to the minute.
Plans changed? Edit your check-in time mid-journey, or switch back to interval check-ins at any point.
The same 10-minute grace period and emergency contact alert system applies — no matter which mode you use.

Our Story
Herline was created for anyone who has ever wished someone knew where they were.
Too many people travel alone without a safety net. Whether it's a late-night journey home, a solo trip, or simply walking back from a friend's house — there are moments when you just want someone to know you're okay.
We wanted something simpler — a quiet companion that checks in on you and only escalates when it needs to.
"Your safety should be covered by default — not something you have to remember to set up."
Herline is built around one core belief: if you don't respond, someone should know. The app handles that automatically, without drama, and without requiring anything more than a tap on a button.
Herline is for anyone who travels alone and values peace of mind. But we built it with some people particularly in mind.
